Jordan Levy , Chairman of the Board

Jordan Levy has been a member of Synacor's board of directors since October 2001. He serves as Managing Partner at both SBNY and Seed Capital Partners. He also serves as Co-Managing Partner of Z80 Labs, an Accelerator Fund; Chairman of 43North, the single largest business plan competition ever held in the United States; and board member of LaunchNY. Prior to co-founding Seed Capital Partners, Levy was co-founder of ClientLogic and President, co-CEO and co-Chair of its predecessor companies SOFTBANK Services Group and Upgrade Corporation of America (now SITEL Worldwide). Previously, Levy was Senior Vice President of Software Etc (now GameStop GME:NASDAQ). He was also Executive Vice President and co-founder of Software Distribution Services, (now known as Ingram Micro IM:NASDAQ). Levy currently serves on the Board of Directors or as on Observer of several technology companies including Buzzfeed, Rebelmouse, Spanfeller Media, FieldLens, Shareablee, and Lover.ly. Levy holds a B.A. in Political Science, University at Buffalo.

Himesh Bhise, Chief Executive Officer

Appointed as Synacor Chief Executive Officer and Member of Board of Directors in August 2014, Himesh Bhise is a leading broadband, multiscreen and mobile executive. Bringing years of experience as an industry veteran, Bhise is focused on carrying out Synacor's mission to empower global customers to deliver apps, entertainment and services, which are curated and personalized for consumers and available across all devices.

Prior to Synacor, Bhise most recently led New Services & Platforms for Comcast Cable, where he was responsible for incubating and operating growth businesses. His portfolio included new content platforms like XFINITY Streampix, advertising businesses, cloud products, prepaid services and apps, all transforming the consumer TV and video experience.

Before Comcast, Bhise was a senior operating executive at Charter Communications, where he was the general manager of its High Speed Internet business, which he helped grow to $1.4 billion, outperforming the industry in revenue growth. Prior to Charter, Bhise served as general manager of AOL's Mobile division, growing the business substantially working with carriers, OEMs and developers around the world. Earlier, he was with McKinsey & Company as a leader in its telecom and M&A practice.

Bhise, a married father of two sons, received his MBA from the Wharton School.

Lisa Donohue

Lisa Donohue was appointed to the Synacor Board of Directors in May 2017. As CEO of Publicis Spine and member of the Publicis Groupe Management Committee, Lisa Donohue is driving the collective power of the Groupe’s data, technology and talent. Uniting a team of more than 3,500 engineers, data scientists, analysts and tech leaders, Lisa is leading a unique proposition to fuse marketing and enterprise business transformation for clients.

Lisa has dedicated her 30-year career to Publicis Groupe business units, leading teams to exceed challenges on behalf of the world’s leading marketers and new establishment brands, including Airbnb, Samsung, Procter & Gamble, Bank of America, Kellogg’s, KraftHeinz, Visa and many more. Most recently serving as Global Brand President for Starcom Worldwide and member of the Publicis Media Global Executive Team, Lisa was responsible for driving Starcom’s global brand vision, client relationships, growth and best-in-class product. She graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Management and Economics.

Marwan Fawaz

Marwan Fawaz, CEO of Google/Alphabet's Nest, has been a member of Synacor's board of directors since December 2011. Before being named CEO of Nest, Fawaz served as EVP of Motorola Mobility through 2013, following its acquisition by Google. Prior to joining Motorola, he was a Founder and Partner at Sarepta Advisors, a technology consulting company based in Denver. He is the former EVP of Strategy and CTO of Charter Communications. Previously, Fawaz served as the SVP and CTO of Adelphia Communications, and as an investment analyst at Vulcan. Fawaz was Chairman of the CableLabs Technical Advisory Committee and on the board of directors for Digeo. He currently sits on the board of directors for the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). Fawaz is the recipient of numerous industry awards, including the prestigious National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) Vanguard Award in Science and Technology. Fawaz holds an M.S. in Telecom Engineering and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.

Gary Ginsberg

Gary L. Ginsberg has been a member of Synacor's board of directors since December 2011. He is the Executive Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Communications at Time Warner Inc. Previously, he served as the Executive Vice President in various capacities at News Corporation, and has been a managing director at the strategic consulting firm Clark & Weinstock, a senior editor and counsel at George, the magazine, a former Assistant Counsel to President Clinton and an attorney with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Ginsberg holds an A.B. from Brown University and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.

Andrew Kau

Andrew Kau has been a member of Synacor's board of directors since December 2000. Prior to joining Synacor's board, Kau served as a director of MyPersonal. Kau is a managing director at Walden International. He was President of Chemical Technologies Ventures, and a management consultant at Strategic Planning Associates, LLC, and at Booz, Allen and Hamilton, Inc. He also served as a research scientist at Systems Planning Corp. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Brown University.

Michael Montgomery

Michael J. Montgomery has been a member of Synacor's board of directors since December 2011. He served from 2000 through mid 2013 as President of Montgomery & Co., a boutique investment banking firm focused on consumer and enterprise internet companies. His previous experience includes serving as the chief executive officer at Sega GameWorks, a joint venture between Sega, Universal Studios and DreamWorks Studios. Before that, he was a senior executive at DreamWorks Studios, which was preceded by approximately eight years with The Walt Disney Company and its affiliates, holding a number of senior positions including chief financial officer of EuroDisney and treasurer of Walt Disney Company. Montgomery received an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College, where he also received a B.A. degree.

Scott Murphy

Scott Murphy rejoined Synacor's Board of Directors in October of 2014 after having previously served on the Board from October 2004 until April 2009, when he won a special election to serve as U.S. Representative of New York's 20th congressional district. Murphy also had rejoined Advantage Capital Partners in 2012 as a managing director and the chief investment officer after completing his congressional service in 2011. Murphy previously worked at the firm from 2001-2009, overseeing the $88 million New York portfolio. Murphy is an experienced investor and highly successful entrepreneur with a robust background in public service. Prior to his tenure at Advantage Capital, Murphy co-founded three high-tech companies, including a game company that brought fantasy football and baseball to the Internet. He also founded an online auction company that was sold to eBay and a website-building company that was sold to iXL. Murphy received his A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard University.
